Where is the library?

The JFK Library, is located on the Cheney Campus.

EWU students, staff, and faculty in Spokane are welcome to also use the WSU Health Sciences Library (as community users), located on the 2nd floor of the Academic Center of the Riverpoint Campus in Spokane. You are able to apply for special use access. Learn more.

How do I contact the library?

  • For EWU JFK Library, call the Circulation Desk at 509-359-7888. Visit our Contact Us page for a complete list of departments and staff phone numbers, and email addresses.

How can I access databases from off-campus?

Students:

Log in with your SSO/NetID username and password. This username/password is the same one that you use to log into Canvas, campus computers, wireless network, etc. If you have not set your SSO/NetID password, go to accounts.ewu.edu.

Faculty / Staff:

Log in using your EWU email username and password.

How can I get a library account to check out stuff?

Your EagleCard is your library card. Just bring it with you to the Circulation Desk, on the Main Level in the JFK Library.

How can I view the status of my requested materials?

Where can I study? Do you have group study rooms?

The JFK Library has lots of study carrels and tables scattered throughout the building. See maps and more information online.

There are 12 group study rooms. 7 on the lower level, and 5 on the upper level. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis, except the 3 larger rooms (L20, U30, and U34), which can be reserved ahead of time. Contact the Circulation Desk 359-7888 or circulation@ewu.edu to make a reservation.

I’m looking for something fun to read. Where’s the fiction section?

Fiction can be found in the P’s on the upper level. If you have a particular author in mind, use the Library Catalog. Also be sure to check out the New Books area on the main level, near the front entrance.

I think the library ought to have a copy of a specific book. How can I suggest a title be purchased?

Visit our Suggest a Purchase form. This form can be completed by students, staff, faculty, and community users.

I think I left something in the library. Where is lost and found?

The JFK Library maintains a lost and found service, located at the Circulation Desk. Contact them at (509) 359-7888 or circulation@ewu.edu. Please be prepared to show your picture ID when you claim lost articles. You will be asked to sign for your claimed article on a log sheet.
