ARTH 304 - History of Photography

This guide supports History of Photography students in researching photographers and iconic photographs -- with particular emphasis on accessing online resources and how to request physical resources during the pandemic.

On this guide, you will find two sections:  1) Assignment 1 - Research Essay, and 2) Assignment 2 - Photograph Recreation.  Each section includes suggested steps for researching your photographer and iconic photograph, with links to relevant resources and some directions and tips.  In some cases, instructional video tutorials are also provided.
