- Environmental Defense FundNonprofit organization. "Since 1967, we have linked science, economics and law to create innovative, equitable and cost-effective solutions to society's most urgent environmental problems."
- World Water CouncilThink tank on global water policy
- International Institute for Environment and DevelopmentIndependent research organization focusing on sustainable development, markets, and their governance
- International Union for the Conservation of NatureMembers include government and NGO organizations. The IUCN supports research, manages field projects, and brings together governments, NGO's, companies, and scientists to develop and implement policies and laws for the conservation of nature.
