Women at Eastern: Eastern's 3rd Annual Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon

Introduction

Wednesday, March 7
10:00am to 3:00pm (drop-in event)
Lobby of the JFK Library

Welcome to the Eastern Washington University Library's 3rd Annual Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon: Women at Eastern!  As a community we will collaborate to write two articles about important topics related to the history of women on our campus!  One will be a biography of Mary Monroe, the first woman on our Board of Trustees, and the other will document the history of the campus's Women's Center.  Learn more about our history, and help to share it with our community for the future:

The goals of this event are:

  • Create thorough, authoritative, and high quality Wikipedia pages about Mary Monroe and the Women's Center
  • Learn about the history of Eastern Washington University and the important roles that women have played at Eastern
  • Learn about Wikipedia: how to edit it, how articles are created, what makes a good article
