Open Source Citation Software

Following are some citation management programs provided for free on the Internet. These are not as full-featured as a proprietary system like RefWorks, and may offer little or no technical support, but they are generally easier to use for minor projects.

Note that citations created by any software program should be checked against the appropriate style manual (e.g. Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association) for completeness and accuracy.
