Tips for searching for Philosophers

Find a person when searching the EWU catalog & other library resources

When searching for specific philosophers, enter the persons name.  You could just type the name into the catalog and do a keyword search.  But if you want to be more focused, then do a Subject search and type in the last name, then their first name.  For example: Kant, Immanuel.

Searching for an author

If you want to you find out what works we own that are written by that author, then do an Author search and type his/her name that same last name, first name format.  If you want to limit it down further (especially if that person has written a lot if works), then also type in part of the title of the specific work you want to find with the author's name (last name should suffice).  You should be able to go right to it.
