The following is a selection of resources for data on poverty, economic development, public health, and other issues related to income inequality.
- World Development IndicatorsThe World Bank's primary set of economic development indicators. Topics include poverty, rural population, gender, unemployment, and many more.
- World Bank - Data and ResearchOffers the text of working papers on trade and economic policy
- UN Statistics DivisionMixture of some free international comparison data, along with subscription databases
- World Health Organization - Data and statisticsWHO's access point for data and analysis of global public health topics.
- Bureau of Labor StatisticsStatistical arm of the Department of Labor. Portal for finding inflation, consumer spending, wages, employment figures, etc.
- Explore Census Data

data.census.gov is the platform to access data and digital content from the U.S. Census Bureau. Data available include the Decennial Census, American Community Survey, Economic Census, and County Business Patterns. - Google ScholarMany articles, policy papers, and reports produced by Non-governmental Organizations (NGO's), Intergovernmental Organizations (IGO's), Think Tanks, etc., are not submitted for peer-reviewed publication. They are made available through organization web sites and therefore do not appear in the article databases. Google Scholar is a good way to locate these types of documents.
