To find other advocacy organizations/think tanks:

  • Look at the bibliographies in background pieces like Wikipedia or the library database CQ Researcher. The latter usually has a list under the heading Contacts. Wikipedia sometimes has a separate entry "List of X Organizations".
  • In news articles on your issue, pay attention to who they interview and what organization they work for.
  • You can certainly google X organizations, but be prepared to be overwhelmed.

Who Likes X Think Tank...

If you want to know who is linking to a particular website, in the Google search box type link:www.domainname.org. This will give you a sense of different organization's that value the think tank's perspective.
