EWU Libraries has three major platforms for licensed streaming videos: Academic Video Online/Alexander Street, Films on Demand, and Kanopy.
I Want a Specific Video

To see if we already have access to a particular video, or to search by subject, limit to EWU, and under Format, limit to DVD videos, Streaming Video, and Videocassettes if you want to be comprehensive.
I Want to Browse What EWU Has Already Purchased
- Alexander Street Videos & Documents This link opens in a new windowAround 90,000 videos. Can browse by Discipline, or use the Advanced Search to limit to Disciplines and browse publishers.
I Want a Particular Video, But It's Not Showing Up
- Kanopy Streaming Videos This link opens in a new windowKanopy has over 30,000 films, but we have licensed only a subset. We can by a one-year license for titles you need for your classes.
When you see a title we haven't licensed, it will say Request Access. Just fill out the form and tell us what class you need it for.
If Kanopy doesn't have it, talk to your librarian. We may be able to purchase it. If we can only purchase a DVD, and you want to use it in an online class, you need to talk with Instructional Technology about whether they can digitize it.
