Zotero - a free and open source reference manager

What is Zotero?

Zotero (pronounced "zoh-TAIR-oh") is an application that collects, manages, and cites research sources. It's easy to use, connects with your web browser to download sources, and best of all it's free.

Zotero allows you to attach PDFs, notes and images to your citations, organize them into collections for different projects, and create bibliographies.

You nee to complete three steps before you start to use Zotero as your reference manager or citation management tool. It is designed to store, manage, and cite bibliographic references, such as books and articles. In Zotero, each of these references constitutes an item. Besides generating correct-formatted references, Zotero is also a powerful tool for collecting and organizing research information and sources.

(1) Install Zotero on your computer by downloading Zotero on the Zotero download page.

(2) Install the Zotero Connector for your browser by downloading Zotero Connector on the Zotero download page.

(3) Create a free Zotero account by registering Zotero with any of your email addresses.
