Current West E Information

OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction) teacher assessment explanation

The specific Washington State certification tests are called West-B (for entering a teacher education program) and West-E (to earn grade level and subject endorsements).

EWU Libraries has study guides for 22 subject areas of the WEST-E. They are available at the JFK Library circulation desk for one week checkout. All are listed in the library catalog Keyword "West-E".

Please be aware that few study guides are published for the WEST-E, and many of those available are of poor quality. The Library's selection of study guides is not extensive, for that reason: if you have questions about studying for the WEST-E, please feel free to contact the Education Librarian (whose contact info is on this guide, on the left).
