Start with MOM to do a broad search across multiple collections. Mason OER Metafinder is George Mason University's cross-repository OER search tool.

OpenStax is a nonprofit educational initiative based at Rice University, OpenStax is one of the most popular OER repositories in use today, The textbook projects are developed and peer-reviewed by educators to ensure they are readable and accurate, meet the scope and sequence requirements of each course.

The Open Textbook Library provides an easy-to-use interface for locating and evaluating OER. "The textbooks have been funded, published, and licensed to be freely used, adapted, and distributed. These books have been reviewed by faculty from a variety of colleges and universities to assess their quality. These books can be downloaded for no cost, or printed at low cost."

"Open SUNY Textbooks (OST) is the open textbook publishing program from which SUNY OER Services evolved. OST offers peer-reviewed open texts that can be immediately adopted and easily customized via the SUNY OER Services editing platform."

The British Columbia Campus Consortium's OER repository, BCCampus OpenEd collects textbooks from a variety of resources, including the books housed in OpenStax and others.

The eCampusOntario Open Library provides educators and learners with access to more than 250 free and openly-licensed educational resources.

List of all open textbooks available through the Affordable Learning Georgia initiative. Most works hosted in GALILEO Open Learning Materials have a Creative Commons license, allowing the reuse, redistribution, remix, and revision of these materials.

OER Commons currently includes open educational materials in broad subject areas. Materials include lesson plans, textbooks, activities, assessments, readings, and more.

All articles in open access journals which are published by Elsevier have undergone peer review and upon acceptance are immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.

Articles that appear in the 30 journals hosted by Wiley Open Access database go through a stringent peer review and editorial process, ensuring the quality and longevity of the content.

"Oxford Open's database is comprised of archived content from more than 300 publications."

"PubMed Central (PMC) is a free archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM)." PMC is an electronic archive of full-text journal articles while PubMed is a database of citations and abstracts.
