Lesson Planning in the Curriculum Center

An online version of the lesson planning binder in EWU's Curriculum Center, pointing you to good resources for planning lessons and units for K-12 instruction using the materials found here in the JFK Library.

Welcome!

Greetings from the Curriculum Center!

Hello and welcome to the lesson planning guide for EWU's Curriculum Center!

This guide was designed with you in mind: a teacher or teacher-in-training working on the design of lessons and units for the PK-12 classroom.  Our Curriculum Center (in the lower level of the JFK Library on Eastern's Cheney campus) is full of so many kinds of resources for planning that we know it can be hard to know where to start!

On the left side of the screen, you'll see major instructional areas: click on one to see the list of topics we've currently developed guides about, and then select your topic to see a list of available materials we suggest you consider using.  Don't see your topic?  Let James know (his contact info is on the left) so that we can add it to the list of guides we're using -- and remember, our Curriculum Center is home to thousands and thousands of titles, so if what you see on this guide isn't exactly what you need, use the library catalog, come browse the shelves in person, or ask James for help finding what you need.

We're glad you came by, and we hope you'll find this guide steers you to just what you need for a dynamic and successful lesson with your students!
